After working in animal health care for several years as a veterinary technician and spending four years managing a vet hospital, I decided to serve at a higher level and attended North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1999.

I chaired the veterinary student chapter of Second Chance Pet Adoptions through which I personally I fostered over 100 kittens. I was also presented with the Senior award for excellence in Feline Medicine.

In addition to having the first and only feline practice in the state of South Carolina to obtain American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation, I am also a member of American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Cornell Feline Health Center.
